It's Bread time! But don't Sleep on this Loaf!

So I kind of went a little wild this past Amazon Prime Day and got a couple things that have been on my wish list. I got a sleeping bag and air mattress for an upcoming camping trip, which didn't seem to be too wild. But then I saw all the selections of bread makers on sale and threw my logic a little out of the window. I have wanted a bread maker for a while, and was almost convinced that I would get one around Christmas time. But I talked myself out of it and I didn't receive one as a gift, so I pushed it out of my mind for the time being. Then I got caught up in seeing so many on sale, that I took a chance and bought my very own bread maker.

I decided to go for one of the lower priced models from a brand I haven't heard of. It had plenty of good reviews, enough to buy it without the extra warranty. So now I am the proud owner of a MooSoo Bread Maker. It bakes up to a 1.5lb loaf of bread, which in reality is a semi small loaf compared to a store bought one, but it also has all the features I feel I need. It does the full bread or just mixes/rises the dough, it can drop in mix in's on its own, and it has a feature to delay its start time. So pretty basic, but I'm excited to try out my first loaf!

Bread Maker info:

Brand: MooSoo

Model: BM8611

Amazon Link: I was going to link it, but it appears to not be on Amazon any more. It's in my order history but the link goes nowhere.

Here is the recipe that I am following:

260ml Water

1tsp Salt

2Tbs Sugar

2 1/2Tbs Oil (I used Olive Oil)

Pour these in the bottom of the bread barrel.

420g Flour

Cover the liquid with the flour creating a dry layer.

1tsp Yeast

Add the yeast, making sure it stays dry on top of the flour layer.

Set the bread maker to the Basic Bread setting and press start.

(It is the basic recipe from the instruction manual of my machine.)

The Results:

A perfectly textured basic bread! It had exactly the right texture that I think of when I think a simple sandwich bread. Airy but not any large gaping holes in the middle. The flavor was pretty strong of olive oil, which was the oil that I chose to use. If you don't care for that strong olive oil taste, I would probably go for vegetable oil or butter next time around. But for the ease of use and results I would give this a 10/10!
