Move over Root Beer! There’s a new float in town!!

I was browsing Pinterest the other Day and I came across a scanned page from an older cook book. And it's individual soda section caught my eye. It had a recipe for a Chocolate Mint Float, which intrigued me enough that I decided to try it. Here is the recipe:

I don't know the cookbook this image is from but the Pinterest image was linked to this website here.

Chocolate-Mint Soda:

In a large glass combine 2/3 cup milk, 1 tablespoon prepared chocolate syrup, few drops peppermint extract; stir well, with a long spoon. Add 2 scoops vanilla ice cream. Fill to top with ginger ale; stir well. Top with two tablespoons whipped cream. Streak with 1 teaspoon chocolate syrup. Makes one serving.

I think the float was pretty good. I put in a little too much peppermint, but overall it was pleasant. If you like mint chocolate like I do, I think you will enjoy it too. If you want to know more in-depth thoughts on it please check out my YouTube video where I make it!
