The Best Banana Bread Recipe

There are a Lot of Banana Bread Recipes but this is the Greatest.

It was even a trend to make Banana Bread at the start of the pandemic. But this bad boy knocks a lot of them out of the water! This isn't just any recipe, it is a tried and true, vintage Betty Crocker recipe!

For those of you who don't know, Betty Crocker is an American brand owned by General Mills. The products range currently from baking mixes to cookbooks. Betty Crocker was never a real person, but was a fantastic marketing invention created in 1921 (Bettycrocker.com/about-us). In my view, Betty is a fantastic example of both content marketing and as an influencer of sorts. I could probably talk about Betty Crocker for hours, but on to the banana Bread!

The Recipe that I love is in this cookbook (my copy is from 1986). The original Banana Bread recipe on the Betty Crocker Website is not the same. The description of it on the website says that it is the recipe found in almost every copy of their cookbooks. However, it is slightly different and it is different enough for a Banana Bread connoisseur, like myself, to notice.

I have eaten, made, gifted, and enjoyed this Banana Bread my whole life. Which is probably why I love it so much. But I still feel that it is well worth people trying out. I recommend using extra ripe bananas and seeing if it beats out your favorite recipe.

Tomorrow at noon, over on YouTube, I will be posting the companion video showing me making the Banana Bread. Please check it out if you're interested!

Let me know if you've tried it! What is your favorite Banana Bread Recipe?
