Let's mix things Up: Repotting my Succulents!
Howdy! So Spring is officially here and one of my favorite spring activities is checking out plants at the nursery.
And some of my favorite plants are succulents. They are hearty plants, requiring little attention and mostly staying a vibrant color year round.
I have collected my fair share of succulents over time, but when I see them I usually end up buying at least one more. This year, I got a few of them and need to repot them. Here is one that I have already repotted:
I think it is super cute, especially in this vintage cat planter. I wish I had some more funky little planters like this one. But for now I just need to focus on rehoming succulents.
Another great thing about succulents is that they are easy to propagate. Meaning that it is easy to spread and start a new succulent off of a current one. Most succulents, if you break a piece off, the piece can be grown into a new separate succulent.
But I usually just let them grow wild on there own in a pot, then repot them, breaking up sections into different pots them.
I also do like a good amount of succulent variety also. There are so many different shapes and types of succulents that it makes it fun to mix and match them together and just to collect them. I personally got a good amount of variety from Walmart. I went to Walmart and they had a large pot someone had crammed full of the succulents that must have just not sold for $18. I repotted those succulents so they weren't cramped and now I have a ton that are happy and getting healthier with the extra space they have.
I hope you have enjoyed this post! I know it's a little different, but I really like my succulents and enjoyed taking photos of them.
