Meet Judy and My Next Sewing Project

Hey Guys! So next Week's video is an unboxing of something special. My first ever dress form!

Her Name is Judy and she is a Sew You Dress form By Dritz. I bought her off Amazon for $107 and some change USD with tax. Here is the link if you would like to check out more information on her.

I picked her out in part because she was really affordable compared to some options I was seeing. My mom helped measure me based on the product description instructions and I wrote them down for future reference. It took probably 10 minutes to fully measure, double check the measurements and read the chart on which size dress form to buy.

Then it was just waiting 'til she arrived. Unboxing and setting her up is all documented in the video and was super easy. The feet snapped into a base, then the pole into the base, and finally the form onto the pole with everything being tightened on.

With Judy all set up I am ready to reveal my First Project to use her!

I have had the patterns and fabrics for probably 3, maybe 4 years. And I just haven't gotten to it, in part because it's a bit intimidating and in part because at college all my sewing projects kinda got halted and neglected.

But I'm looking forward to sharing the process with you guys. So be looking forward to some progress shots here and over on Instagram soon!
